Requirements: Must have completed at least 36 college credit hours and have or obtain a Missouri Substitute Ceritificate (unless a teaching certificate is already held)



Responsibilities

Hall monitors are at the middle school and high school buildings only.

 

Hall monitoring consists of running hall passes, covering classrooms, monitoring restrooms,
checking exterior doors, greeting at the front desk, and monitoring hallways and the commons
during passing periods and early release days. The job requires a lot of walking.


- Be prepared and willing to step into a classroom as a substitute teacher or to provide
supervision as needed.
- Understand how to use the intercom and walkie talkie systems in the building.
- Be familiar with the SRO (School Resource Officer) in the building and contact them and/or the
administration if you need assistance.


Other Functions
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.


Education: Minimum 36 credit hours.
Certificates/ Licenses: Missouri State Teaching Certificate or Missouri Substitute Certificate
Clearances: Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance and Family Care Safety Registry
